The Original Seatbelt Bag
Harvey's Industries, Inc. was started in March 1997 by husband and wife team, Dana and Melanie Harvey. While installing seatbelts into their 1950 Buick, Dana was inspired to make Melanie a matching handbag and produced the first Harvey's Original Seatbelt Bag.
They started making the bags in their one car garage, but quickly out-grew it. Today, Harvey's has established a 12,000-square-foot design factory, a corporate office, and a high-end retail loft, all located in the sunny city of Santa Ana, california. Harvey's is proud to support each handbag is lovingly BUILT IN THE USA to exact specifications,and "Guaranteed Tough"!

Treecycle
The TREECYCLE collection has toured art galleries and high-end boutiques this past year increasing green awareness while styling in a humanitarian way.
National requests for Harvey's TREECYCLE bags have grown into an international phenomenon. Each hand-made bag is built from reclaimed seatbelts from a variety of auto and airline manufacturers. Ultimately, each bag saves space in our over-crowded landfills.
The TREECYCLE Collection is available in the following silhouettes: Large Tote, Large Satchel, The Messenger, and Mini Messenger. Each bag features an exclusive lining made from hemp, silk-screened with the TREECYCLE logo in water-based, eco-friendly ink.
Polka Dot
Inspired by 1940s hair curls, red lipstick, and glam romance Harveys wanted to create a new feel for a timeless trend. Adding retro chic to the edgy patterns and hip colors, Harveys introduces the Spring 2008 collection. Yet again, Harveys re-identifies "old-school" glamour with 3 variations of the classic Polka Dot print. A bold look strikes a softer appeal in eternal shades of black & white, blue & white, and pink & brown.
Think romance with the new Polka Dot collection available in 4 classic Harveys silhouettes: The Large Tote, Large Satchel, Medium Tote, and Satchel. All silhouettes feature handles that fit over the shoulder, interior pocket pouches, and a mobile phone pocket.
