Thai Urban Kitchen opened in September of 2007 and recently began serving dinner to diners seeking Thai fare. TUK offers gourmet, contemporary Thai delicacies in a sleek and hands on environment.
Inspired by Thai classics, the menu fuses international flavors from around the world into a melody of unique dishes. Dark wood, black leather and stainless steel appliances merge with soft lighting, a large central fountain and semi-private cabana spaces for dining. Two full-service bars, a custom built wine refrigerator and a full sushi bar provide ample room to explore.
Executive Chef Chantharavirooj, or "Chef Paul," prepares tasty and unique Thai dishes. Dinner menu highlights include:
- Apple cider glazed cod with sweet potato puree and coriander chutney spinach
- Grilled rib eye steak with roasted cauliflower, chanterelle mushrooms,
and Thai basil pomme puree
- One-minute seared diver scallops and Jumbo Shrimp with Thai basil
risotto and saffron tomato “Burre Blanc”
TUK also serves lunch and breakfast. Try coconut waffles with lemongrass syrup to start your day or enjoy TUK-Style “Open Face Ravioli” with shrimp and squid in sweet soy vinaigrette for lunch.
Thai Urban Kitchen is located at 500 W. Madison St. in Chicago's Loop in the Ogilvie Transportation Center.
