| Jean Albano Gallery has been delighting fans of contemporary art for over 20 years with its eclectic collection of contemporary painting, sculpture, installation and mixed media pieces.
An original pioneer of the River North gallery district, Jean Albano exhibits established and mid-career artists, along with many newcomers to the Chicago art scene.
The gallery offers artwork that appeals to young collectors and gallery veterans alike. With owner Jean Albano’s remarkable eye for color, the gallery shows a flair for the unexpected and unconventional. Viewers will find everything from the quirky, comic surrealism of Karl Wirsum and the whimsical narratives of Gladys Nilsson to the swirling flora of Jim Waid and pewter covered “Female Fetishes” of Claudia DeMonte. Jean Albano is also the exclusive dealer of Jules Feiffer in Chicago.
