Growing up, Trina Turk always knew she wanted to design clothing. Years later, she has fulfilled with her dream with a line of contemporary women's clothing, handbags and menswear that carry her namesake.
After graduating college, Turk worked for Britannia Jeans and then in L.A. designing surfwear for Ocean Pacific. She took her knowledge and experience with sportswear and prints and used it to create her own bold, colorful and feminine line in 1995.
Trina Turk was an instant success. That same year, her clothing was sold at Barneys New York, Fred Segal and Saks Fifth Avenue. Most recently, she was awarded The Fashion Achievement at the L.A. Fashion Awards in 2005.
