| Le Magasin, a River North jewel within the Chicago Furniture District, invites you to preview its latest shipment of hand-crafted stoneware.
Distinguished by its rich color and deep texture, this line of stoneware is made in the Vallée Noire in Berry, next to the village of George Sand, famous baroness and XIXth century writer.
The region is known for its rich soil and its tradition of ceramic. According to legend, when an old tree in Vallée Noire was cut, fragments of ancient stoneware were found in its roots. Each piece of ceramic is entirely handmade (no molds are used), hand-decorated, and made from the highest quality clay.
Didier Milleriot, a French native, created Le Magasin with the vision and culmination of over 20 years of travel throughout France. Didier brought that vision to Chicago’s very own Furniture District in River North. Le Magasin, which translates to “The Store,” is located at 408 N. Clark St.
